I bagged my first banded Surf Scoter 2 years ago. I was called by the USGS to doulbe check the band numbers. The lady said I shot the oldest one on record. (9 years-5 months) Very cool. That's sweet. I got a double banded snow this year that was 15

Very cool.  I shot a snow this year banded in 1992.  Might be why the mature ones are a challenge to decoy.

cool!  at a glance saw a 27 year old mallard and sandhill crane 29 years old!
