most all the south faceing slopes are bare and greening up good, the onions are starting to grow they should be out soon. the tops have alot of snow on them might need a snowmobile to get in or a built toyota.

Can't see the Wenaha from my window, but I can tell you that the Blues got a little new snow last night...

With all this late snow and cruddy weather I would be patient unless you live nearby. Your access will be from the south probably until at least May and its not easy from any direction. The season goes until June 15 for a reason and its because access to the Wenaha is tough in the spring. Use the early part of the season to get in shape!nwhunter

It has been snowing hard since yesterday, some areas have 2 feet of new.  The snotel sites are not the best in giving reports.  I depend on the weekend sled riders.  All the early shed hunters have pushed the elk to higher ground to live in the heavy snow and now all this new stuff just adds to their struggle until greenup.  They are in rough shape now and don't need more pressure. The bears will be out and feeding  when the access is clear.

You have a good tag.  Like people have posted don't get excited til may.  They usually really start digging up onions then and also boars will be looking for sows a little bit by then.  Open knobs that have onions next to cover are great places to watch in the evenings.
