I was stumbling through the archives and came across this thread. Is there a reason why it died? Would anyone oppose resurrecting the thread? Seems like a cool topic and I enjoyed reading through the past posts and all the great pics.

Took this one in Colorado. Roughly 8 miles deep into a designated roadless area.

I took this bull the season before the bull in my last post. Also taken in the same roadless area. My hunting comrade and I would take a man-made trail for 2.5 miles, then we would bushwack away from the trail using game trails. Our spike camp was 6.5 miles deep and then we would hunt out from there.

And of course, you will always run into the big one when you don't have a tag. This buck is from the Colorado high country and was living around the 11,500 ft mark.

That is a sweet pic and buck. Hard to tell on my cell phone, was the photo taken in fog?

No taken through my spotting scope with the sun directly behind the buck. Made a great silhouette.

Here's one. I was lucky enough to be hunting with my dad when he pulled the trigger on this one.

By the size of his body you would think his rack would much larger, nice one.

Way way back country AK hunt. Most amazing trip of my life! I shot a caribou, and nice moose and I through in a picture of a HUGE wolf my buddy shot. He said, "make sure you get my peta hat in the picture". That wolf was so scary huge! I also came across this big bear walking up by the river one afternoon.. I was shocked at how fast he ran away when he caught my scent. This was by far the hardest hunting trip I've ever been on (2weeks out) we flew 3 hours out, rafted 60 miles and flew back out.. In all the 4 of us took 3 bull moose, 6 caribou and the wolf. ( my buddies live in AK and invited me on this Amazing trip) ..
