My first duck!
« on: July 29, 2008, 10:23:51 AM »
Hey everyone,
I know there is a thread about 2007 success, but I thought that my first duck ever warranted its own.  :chuckle:

Thanks all, unfortunatley it's not my dog, she's my cousin's.  Regardless, she retreived the duck, so I wanted her in my pic.   Choclab,  I did go to school at Central, graduated 2005.  Moved away for a couple years, and missed it too much, so moved back last September.

I imagine that I will be heading out for early goose.  We have a couple jump shooting spots too.  I am pretty excited though, my buddy and I bought an old crappy boat on craigs list so this next season we will have a few more options.  I have to admit I am kind of a newbie, so I am still trying to figure some stuff out as I go.  We should meet up at the Tav sometime and have a few brews.

How about Friday night around 9ish? You gonna stay local for early goose or head to the basin? I got pretty lucky and locked up two of the best properties for geese....I'm pumped. We had the fields last year to and HAMMERED September geese. I will bring two or three calls with me that you can mess around with also.

How about Saturday instead?  I have some stuff going on Friday.  9 still sounds good though.

Dave, we had a damn fine time on Sat. Lets just say I was a little late and moving slow for roping practice.....lol. It was good to meet you and Jon. I'll get ahold of you next time we go shoot and you boys can come out and get a little practice in.

Thanks man, I had a hell of a time too.  Was great to meet all of you.  I had a feeling that everyone would be moving a little slow the next morning.  But remember, beer is liquid bread, therefore it's good for you.  Chock full of nutrients and all.  lol  I'm totally down for shooting sometime.  I even have a clay thrower that we can use too.
