One busy cat...
« on: March 25, 2012, 06:24:30 PM »
My mother and I were shed hunting up the Methow yesterday and didn't find boo for horns.. maybe this cat's apetite had something to do with it... 4 kills within 100 yards; poop and scraped dirt all around them... Definitely made me glad I had a side-carry! I know it saw me... I didn't get a glimpse of him, though!

I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

Why was I being questioned about killing a pair of cats now?

:chuckle: Yeah, I was wondering if it was going to be my turn to be wrapped around a tree there for a while.. initially, I found the hair pile with the jaw bone and scat, and as I kept walking and finding more kill sites I started to look up in the big pondorosa pines more... I really expected to see a big ol' tom perched on one of those 8-10 inch diameter branches just watching me.

Boy, I would love to bag a cat someday! It is definitely on the list...

The track in the picture looks like a large canine to me?

Looks like a good spot for a camera. There could be a den site nearby, good spot to drop the hammer on one later this year.

I've never seen Wolves bury their kill. Usually it is spread from here to kingdom come...

The main pad bumps out forward toward the toes and is not concaved back like a cat.
