Cabela's for archery set up?
« on: March 25, 2012, 08:20:18 PM »
Hey,

I was wondering what people's opinions for going to Cabela's for archery help are? Would you go to Cabela's to have your bow re-strung et.?

Haha... uh, no.  Go across I-5 to Wholesale Sports and get it done, there.  BTW, I'm assuming you're talking about the Lacey Cabelas.  Or there's a number of pro shops in the outlining area that'll get it done right.

:yeah:  No way would I trust anyone at Cabelas to set up my bow. Take it to Wholesale or a archery pro shop in the area like Mtbiker suggested. Or learn to do it yourself. It is pretty easy and then you will be better prepared to fix/tune it in the field.  :twocents:

Those guys would probably try mounting your rest in the sight holes and strip the threads. AVOID them!

wow D-Rock what is wrong with a girl working on your bow, if they know how to set up and tune a bow that is what you want. My girlfriend does all her own tuning on her bows and does it right. As for Cabela's in Lacey I know they have problems, If Dave (the archery Manager) was working on them, it would be done right but they don't give him much time to set up any more. Pro shops are your best bet.

Avoid Cabelas at all costs, you are way better off finding your local proshop.
