Who won and what with....the details.... The Glenn St Charles Award this year. The banquet snuck up on me this year. The ones I have been too have always been great fun
I know I got tired of seeing the changes to the Archery seasons and started asking questions. That is how I found out about the WSB and ended up attending the banquet on Saturday to check things out. It was a good dinner and way to raise funds for the WSB to fight the good fight. I am definitely joining and hope to find a way to contribute other than just my membership. The person from the state talked about scientific data for the wolf plan but never showed anything other then other state population numbers. I asked how they could justify 15 breeding pairs here in WA when Idaho only qualified 10 breeding pairs when they started their program. He never talked about the game animals that could support their population numbers which is why I asked the question since WA has about half the game animals Idaho has to sustain themselves. It just did not make sense to me. He never really answered the question with any good facts or data which leads me to believe they have no idea how they came up with that number other then that is what other states used. The apposing group gentleman did a good job of showing good data points and showing how even in other states where they started with a certain number of breeding pares, each state was well beyond that number before finally looking at managing the existing numbers of wolves.Join the WSB and join the fight for our rights as hunters and for real management of all game animals.Fulla
