Free: Contests & Raffles.
Bone,I won the St. Charles award with a non-typical whitetail that scored 193 7/8....grossed 201 2/8. Overall the banquet was good and it was great to see all the hunting buddies...just wish they had a larger turnout.
I paid for the banquet at the Sportmens Show when I joined but got very sick on Thursday Didnt get out of bed til Sunday afternoon. Completely sucked I was really looking forward to going. Definitely going to check the next WSB mag issue and show up to the next meeting. Great organization, website is getting better as well which will really help them/us grow.
Honestly, there has been a little bit of dicontent with the WSB as I imagine there is with anything political. I didn't enjoy them taking a stance on illuminocks and "speaking for all bowhunters" and then when disagreeing with them made me an "elitist" trad hunter, that kind of torqued me off. I know as a club I suppose they need to take stands and they need to lobby for things, but in this case it made me back way off from the WSB. I still think its a good organization with worthwhile goals and I am sure I will come around and be more supportive. I am not a member of the Trad organization in this state either.
I figured I could use this as leverage to get more people to join WSB....only way to see the picture is to join and get the newsletter.
