Not going to point a finger at any group in particular... but it was near where I had been seeing a bunch of brush pickers...

So do the brush pickers have to pay the 350 dollar Trespass fee too?

Brush pickers have a contractors permit, or their bosses do.

I believe they work for a brush contractor. Contractor pays a fee for brush just like logging contract.

Its amazing to me how many people convict somebody without proof. You said the cow was poached? Any bullet holes? My guess is no. Because I came across a cow on the 15 road last week, dead in the ditch. Coyotes had just started eating on it. They started on the left front shoulder and were working their way back. Please know the facts before spouting off next time

Wasn't convicting anyone and you could hide a lot of meat in a brush truck, under a load of firewood, or behind my back seat for that matter. It's only common sense that there is a certain amont of poaching that goes on out there.

Did know coyotes used knives to cut perfectly straight lines around the lower leg just where a person would start skinning. Also when I've seen animals eaton by yotes the yotes generally tear up the bones pretty good. To me this looked like an animal carcass after it had been boned out. Plus I've never seen an animal die of natural causes right in the road like that. I never blamed anyone.You are awful testy. Got something on your conscious?

Sure, why not? I've seen a lot of  dead critters and to me this looked like it was proccessed by a human. I could be wrong it's happened before. I bet the game warden will be able to tell the difference. I would rather report it and have it be a natural death then not report it and have it turn out to be poached. Sorry you got your panties in a bunch.

You should go back and re-read Grundy's post that you are referring too, that begins with "Not going to point a finger....."

...but I did see brush pickers in the area of an elk that died of natural causes. If he isn't pointing fingers why bring them into it?

The thing that irritates me is that it wasn't poached in the first place. Then I see a guy say he is not pointing fingers but.... If it was aliens or bigfoot then that isn't poaching cause that is natural

Sounds to me like the original post seems to know the difference between a  scavenged road kill and a poached animal. Yotes don't make straight cuts in the hide/muscle as he already mentioned.
