I was pointing out the thread title for one, and the guy blaming the brush pickers. Lets pretend the elk was poached and wasn't a lion kill. He saw brush pickers in the area so he blamed them. No evidence who did it. I was in the area so why not blame me?You should go back and re-read Grundy's post that you are referring too, that begins with "Not going to point a finger....."...but I did see brush pickers in the area of an elk that died of natural causes. If he isn't pointing fingers why bring them into it?Go ahead, keep inserting in your interpretation of others words if it makes you feel better."I did see natural things around an un-natural elk kill." I'm not very good at it, how did I do?Why mention brushpickers if he wasn't pointing a finger?

There is a real good chance here that everyone is right. Because it was cut up doesn't necessarily mean it was poached. One of our local game wardens goes to road kill when reported and cuts quarters off of the animals for his cougar traps so it may have been that road kill cow and the warden may have taken the meat for his trapping/tagging use. He does it all the time when the Hancock White River security lets him know of a road kill....if fact he did it last week to a cow that was hit on Highway 410 above Bridge Camp so he may well be doing it at Kapowsin too. I have seen the traps on the White River tree farm in the past and I'm sure they do the same at Kapowsin and Snoqualmie. Hope this helps with the squabble..........Les
dont wanna get everyone all worked up but if an elk was laying there for about 2 weeks...you probly aint gonna see much for skin or meat or any evidence of being cut by a knife....a couple coyotes could lick that thing clean in 4 days....im not saying it was poached or wasnt....no one knows so why dont we drop this and not argue about something that we have no proof on either side...
I heard the guy who poached it was on here telling people the yotes got it. you don't have anything you want to get off you chest do you branden???
