Can't wait for Deer Season
« on: March 27, 2012, 10:35:06 AM »
I was sitting at the kitchen table yesterday, and when I looked out the window, I saw about 3 nice deer.  (there were actually 5 total), about 5 yards away out the window.  :yike:
I was just thinking that I cannot wait till' deer season.  I am getting the jitters.  :chuckle:

Sounds like a good plan, but I think that I will hold of on fairly small game and turkey until then. :)  :)

My god I can't wait.  In my plans (plans shmans, life always gets in the way) I am headed to Foster Creek for archery.  Went rifle hunting there a couple of years ago and got within a few yards of a TON of big does.  BIG does.  Pushing 200lbs on the hoof does.  Got close to a bunch of bucks too but they were bad genetic, 220lb on the hoof big bucks with thin forkie 2pt antlers.  Bleh.  Would like to take a couple of those out of the gene pool but, a nice big doe will work too.  If life gets in the way, I'll hunt blacktail close to home like last year.

Hi my name is Hillbilly and im a huntaholic.  When I see antlers I get the shakes.  When I shoot a deer I feel like crying because I cant shoot another one for a whole year.  I think about hunting non-stop even in the off-season.  Im glad I found this group to help ease my pain in the off-season.  I appreciate all your support through pictures, stories, and other distractions (discussions about bigfoot).

Cant wait to hit the scouting hard in July!!!

Yeah this time of the year I really I am waiting for the regs to come out so I can getting looking through what they did and in turn what I am doing to do.  I am kind of the one that studies the regs and tries to figure out what we are going to do in that given year.  My dad always messes with me saying I study the regs and maps way more then any book back in school.  I love going through them and looking at the harvest reports too.

You have accomplished the first step. Fortunately there is no cure. You will have to deal with this sickness for the rest of your life.
  I am Turner89 and I am a huntaholic.     (Didn't help)

If you buy a used freezer  do not  buy it during hunting season. I did that one year and it was tough finding one. I found one but I had to drive alot farther than I wanted.  Everybody was buying them at that time. :twocents:

My job requires alot of driving around SW WA., on Tuesdays I'm in the Coweeman, Kalama, Lewis river area and see elk pretty regularly, on Fridays I'm in Washougal/Camas and see numerous deer every week, makes it hard to concentrate on work somedays. :chuckle:
