Arizona Elk & Pronghorn Draw Results..
« on: March 28, 2012, 12:38:31 AM »
.... Are not up yet :chuckle:

However, AZGFDsaid on their website yesterday that the announcements are forthcoming. You can find out starting TODAY by looking for a hit on your debit or credit card. It will take a couple of days for all the charges to post.

Cross your fingers!

Drew a pronghorn tag (credit card charge), but don't know which unit yet.  Elk probably a no go, but I'm on a 15-20 year wait plan for an early rifle tag (this is year 14)

...are now available on the website.

Nothing for me.

A buddy had his credit card security breached and the card canceled the week before the draw.  He drew an antelope tag and his results say REJECTED, CREDIT CARD DISHONORED.  Ouch.

I think the site is overwhelmed and crashed.

Funny  that I had a dream last night that a charge showed up on my bank statement but it looks like my hopes and dreams are crushed for another year :(

Drew Unit 9 for Pronghorn as non-resident with 12 points.  One of the best hunts in the state after Unit 10 so I'm excited.  80+ buck should be a reasonable goal.  I guess you gotta be a little lucky.  Didn't happen for elk though.

Nice draw Soccerguy! Keep us posted on that hunt. I was right behind you with 11 points and also put in for unit 9. Curious to see how it works out for you. Good luck!

No luck for me with 13 elk points on Unit 10 but my buddy and his wife drew bull tags.

OK,sorry to be 2 weeks late responding.  I  promise to post updates on the hunt.  My plan is is do a lot of prehunt research prior to scouting just before the season.  I lived in Arizona for four years and go hiking in the Grand Canyon every year, so I'm fairly familiar with the general area.  In fact, I leave tomoorrow for the annual trip. This year we're hiking down to the Havasupai reservation, so we'll be driving through the Hualapai Reservation and Unit 10 to get to the trailhead.  I can say that we always see a ton of elk on the Hualapai Res and a few antelope in Unit 10, but we don't usually have the time to stop and look...unless they're standing in the middle of the road as a bull elk was a few years ago.  Wow, I would give anything for an early rifle elk tag in Unit 10 (or Unit 9).  I won't have any time to scout Unit 9 on this trip...that will come later.
