OK,sorry to be 2 weeks late responding.  I  promise to post updates on the hunt.  My plan is is do a lot of prehunt research prior to scouting just before the season.  I lived in Arizona for four years and go hiking in the Grand Canyon every year, so I'm fairly familiar with the general area.  In fact, I leave tomoorrow for the annual trip. This year we're hiking down to the Havasupai reservation, so we'll be driving through the Hualapai Reservation and Unit 10 to get to the trailhead.  I can say that we always see a ton of elk on the Hualapai Res and a few antelope in Unit 10, but we don't usually have the time to stop and look...unless they're standing in the middle of the road as a bull elk was a few years ago.  Wow, I would give anything for an early rifle elk tag in Unit 10 (or Unit 9).  I won't have any time to scout Unit 9 on this trip...that will come later.
