2" vanes?
« on: July 30, 2008, 11:12:22 AM »
I'm just wondering why everyone seems to be switching to 2" vanes?  Are they that much better than the standard 4" one?    Let me know your experience with them, the ups and the downs.

thanks

There are several reasons, one of which is the vane retains more stiffness and helps stabilize arrow flight sooner. The next is the reduced crosswind effect. A smaller surface area for crosswind to hit. Of course those are two of the main excellent characteristics of a FOB.   Little commercial there.... :IBCOOL:
Some people spend their entire life wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem.

Airfoil Ring wing instead of vanes.  Love them.

Fall away is required.
I use a QAD.  Love it.  Works with just about any fall away out there.
Check out www.fobnation.com for how to's.
