Monday-Friday permit hunts
« on: March 28, 2012, 08:49:21 PM »
Noticed several of the proposed permit hunts were weekdays.
I guess those who have vacation time will put in for them.
Gathering is easy. Hunting is a challenge.

The modern firearm bull elk permits on the eastside that start on a Monday? Are those the ones you mean?

Best time to hunt other then opening day....   You see the elk camps start pulling out Sunday afternoon and by Monday in the PM more then 50% are gone.... Close to 85% by Tuesday PM.... My last 6 spikes have been filled on a Tuesday or the opener....

Oh, well if you draw one of those, it will be well worth taking the time off work, even if it's unpaid!

I think they had to squeeze them in between the general archery season and the muzzleloader season.
