Crooked guides
« on: April 28, 2012, 06:44:25 AM »
Beware of this guy (Member id firemansean354 Ebay listing #120902555516).I bougnt into his 'guided elk and deer hunt' last year. There was no guide, there was no daily meeting. The elk hunt consisted of following him for 1 1/2 hours to a national forest NE of the town of Usk,WA. I never saw him after that. The area hadn't seen elk since August. It is heavily hunted and the elk were long gone.I covered a significant amount of ground on foot and by vehicle( after overnight light tracking snow). No elk.

Next 'line' was killer deer hunting. I was set up, no kidding, in some guys backyard over a pile of feed corn.I was set up in a ground blind about 60 yards from this guys house and 25 yards from a trampoline. There were at least 6 houses surrounding me and my Weatherby 270 WBY Mag.This guy is a scammer.

E-mail me for directions to his secret hunting areas.Do not spend money with this clown.

Sounds like that should be in the 'dumbest thing you did in the woods' post :dunno:

While you're sitting in the ground blind by his house, he's inside on the HW forum site telling everyone that he's got a client sitting outside his house by a pile of bait and he's laughing his ass off!! :chuckle: :chuckle: Yeah, I'd say you were scammed.

Yet the guy still has a 100% ebay feedback most of which are or guided hunts in WA. Either the guide is scamming, or the Original posters is just bitter....one of the two.... :sry:

there was alot of mad people on here a couple years ago saying the same thing. he told them about all the private acres he had and they got there and he put them in a little blind on 20 acres. i had a run in with him myself a few years back. wasn't a good one either. but you live and learn.if i remember right he got on here and tried to defend himself and made a total jerk of himself.

Yes this sure sounds like the same story from a couple years ago or so.

So the point of that guy signing up was to warn us about some guy he bought a hunt from on eBay? His add states he will only show you where you will be hunting and then will be in contact through phone conversation the rest of the time. Its a world of "you get what you pay for" so?? Did he expect a high fence hunt with Texas whitetails? Maybe I'm just being dumb

I'd say the point was to warn others so they aren't screwed just like him. Thanks for the heads up and putting the word out in the
Community.
