New Turkey Hunter

I would love to tag along with someone if you'd let me. I have a 12g and would love to learn to turkey hunt. I live in Oly so if anyone want's to help a newby learn the tricks let me know...

How far do you want to travel and when do you plan to hunt?

Suggest hunting on the eastside (most birds harvested in NE Wa) as less than 2% or only 99 birds were harvested in 2010 in all of western Wa and you can bag 2 over there and only 1 over here.

You may also want to catch a turkey hunting clinic next year - did 3 ea 2 hr clinics at Lacey's Cabelas and 1 in Puyallup's Sportsmans Warehouse this year that covered all the basics plus more.

Myself ... booked totally up this late for this year ...

Might be able to sneek you out when you are over for the blues fest?  I got spots close by.  When is it?

Thanks for the great advice..I will get on a mailing list for the clinics at Cabelas.. Good Luck :)
