With that said, can I purchase an archery tag and put in for/get drawn for second deer for Modern?

I am sure it will let you, but you still have to have a modern tag to hunt that season I believe. Your permit would be worthless.

I wish! I don't understand why the 2nd deer tag has to be the same method as the first.   :dunno:

Makes no sense to me. They should let people apply for any of the 2nd tag hunts, regardless of what their first tag is.

I also got an archery deer tag this year, and there are no 2nd deer tag hunts anywhere near me, so I won't be applying. The state is out $6 because there's nothing for me to apply for. Oh well, I saved $70.

The first and second year of the 2nd deer tags it would let you. But not anymore. I drew both the first two years and had an archery tag but picked modern for the second tag. Ahh the good ol days.

second thought I may have had multiseason. But I do remember being asked what method I wanted for the second tag.

None of the special permit applications are available yet, that's why you aren't seeing it. It will be there sometime in mid to late April.

I agree. I don't understand why it has to be the same as your first.... :bash:
