so heres a question
« on: May 13, 2012, 02:39:21 PM »
Found a couple huge bear scats yesterday when hikeing bout 3ft from each other. Do you think that crittter will stay in the same general area when season comes around or bug out of the area? What is a typical bears range in miles?

Bears will follow the food source.   If there's food there come hunting season most likely there will be a bear in the area.

In order for me to give you an accurate answer you will have to show me the poop in person. Where should I meet you?  :chuckle:

It might be around in that area If there is alot of summer feed also. It will be on the move looking for sows next couple months though. A bears home range depends on the habitat. anywere from 30 to 100 sq miles from what i have read.

That's funny instinct! :chuckle: Especially since D-Rock sent me a message about hunting at the zoo yesterday. I see a pattern developing in the bear section!  :yike:

Do not.

Do you have any new pics? Are you going to post them? Did you put cool things like keys, cell phones, bullets, your hand, etc on the ground next to it for reference? Was it fresh? Moist? Dry? Any hair in it? Bones?
