2012 multiple season deer tag

I just got my confirmation letter for my 2012 multiple season deer tag just wondering if its worth the 200 bucks.  Any info is great thanks.

It just depends on how much you wanna hunt, plus it allows you to put in for other special permit hunts with other weapons.  I drew 2 years in a row now but I did not pay for it last year.  I am gonna give it a shot this year.  It can't hurt to try it at least once if you have the money to spend.

If you can't decide right now, there's no hurry. You have 4 1/2 months to think about it. That's what I'm doing. I'll wait till the end of August and then decide if I want to pay the extra money. There's a good chance I won't, just because with an archery tag I'll get 28 days to hunt in September and then about 6 weeks for the late season. All that time plus the hunting I'll get in with my muzzleloader elk tag, it seems like I will have more than enough time to hunt. The biggest advantage for me is that the main unit I hunt for deer only has an early archery season. But it has both an early and a late muzzleloader season. So it would be nice to have the late season to hunt in that unit if I need to. It really all just depends on your situation. If I had more money I wouldn't even have to think twice. But funds are a little tight right now and $183 might be better spent on gas.

If you're stuck in WA and want options - go for it. ORRRR, know that you're almost automatic to draw it every year now, don't buy for two years and go out of state. Of course it'll cost ya more in aggregate, but tag is comparable.

I have already purchased both my deer and elk.  Together they cost $399.00 (that also included my discover pass).  Along with my $160.00 for liscense I am in it a cool $460.00 before my apps.  I have a job that offers me a ton of time off so it is worth it for me.  It gives me a reason to be afield.  I also own and am proficient with all three disciplines, with of course my love being archery which is the hardest to become proficient at. 

Now to your question.....It is really only worth it if you plan on hunting more than one discipline.   Or if you plan on putting in for special permits with the discipline you don't usually hunt with to increase your odds of a draw.  Only you can answer the question?  Is it worth the money??

Out of curiosity???  Why did you put in for it if you did not want to buy it.  You have in essence donated $6.50 to WDFW if you don't buy it now.  I am not asking to be disrespectful in any way, just curious?  I see a ton of people who pay for the chance (i.e. the draw) and have no intention of buying it?  This kinda seams silly to me.

For me it was well worth the $6.50 donation for the extra 5 months I now have to decide if I want to purchase the tag. I could end up drawing a moose or sheep permit and in that case I would not want the multi-season deer. Or I may draw a good bull elk permit and with that I would also not want to waste the $183 on the multi-season deer. I only have so much time and money, and if I drew a moose hunt, all my resources would go into that hunt. But I do like that it's an option all the way up to August 31st. Just provides me with another option that I might take if my hunting season schedule isn't too overloaded by that time.

maybe I'm missing something, it's 185.50 for the multi deer but then I have to buy number 457 the combo deer and elk plus small game for another 101.50, is that right?
