Do I HAVE to buy the multi-season tag?

So I got drawn for the multi season tag just like everybody else I guess.  But I already bought an archery tag along with a deer license since that's what I'm most interested in.

If I find a nice deer during early archery and tag out do I still have to fork over the $180 for the multi season tag?  Or can I wait and buy the multi season only if early archery doesn't work out and then hunt the other seasons?

I think you will have to purchase the tag prior to archery season, I believe it is around August 1

If you want the tag you need to buy it before the archery starts.  End of august is the deadline i think?

Yes, the rule says it must be purchased prior to September 1st.

I will be buying mine August 30th, if I decide to buy it.

when you buy the MS tag then you have to surrender your normal deer or elk tag.

Darn, so it sounds like I have to decide about it before season starts rather than just seeing how things go.  Oh well, at least I have the option I guess.
