I'm just trying to figure out why the 17lb Coho below on the "Neah Bay fishing trip" has an adipose fin???

I know, so if you can't keep 'em, then why is this dude holding one up bleeding all over? I see he tries to hide the fin with his thumb 'unsuccessfully'.

Can't keep 'em offshore in Canadia either. Only inshore Canadian water's. There's also a rule, I don't believe that you can leave a US port for salmon, catch unclipped fish in Canada and bring back in to the US by boat. Pretty sure that's the rule.

I just checked, Blue Dot is in a hatchery coho retention area only.

Actually I enjoy their site and usually talk to John at the shows. I don't understand though, how a wild fish got put up. Seems someone didn't pay close attention to that pic. It just really boils me, because in that post, the guy talks about catching 39 silver's for 3-4 poeple. If they were keeping wild fish, that makes it even worse. Very greedy.

I would add too, that I could have kept a 24lb native at Sekiu one year and had to let it go, so it bother's me a little from that perspective also.

Im just throwing this out Im not sure about this but i think my friend mentioned that he had been catching a bunch of hatchery and wilds and was happy because after a certain date you are allowed to keep the wild caught on the Neah Bay area and it was comming up. he fishes out of sekiu all the time? AND? is the picture dated.....maybe it is last years picture? I am probably way wrong though. Just something i over heard it might not have been for that area.......................AJ

Right, I didn't realize there was an Ebay wild fishery -still think that is wrong to have a PS wild opening in one little area and none anywhere else (particularly when it can't be enforced) -that was an issue though with WDFW, not Salmon U.. In this case, Sekiu opened Sept. 15th for wild Coho, this was prior to that opening and in a different area.
