I stopped by yesterday and shot a few courses with Machias. had a great time. Broke a few arrows. :chuckle: :chuckle:


Met a lot of very nice people. Really good turn out.

Had a great time, fantastic weather.  Hats off to all the hard work that was put in to a great event.  Lots of great targets.  Just had a blast, will post some photos tomorrow.

Just got back... what a great time, hats off to all the TBW members who put this on.  Longbow class was a close one... Don beat me by 1 point..... I took 2nd.... what a blast,  great job on the one arrow shoot and the night shoot also!

I'd always thought it just rumor that Ren could shoot... :chuckle:
I'd just like to remind everybody that it's about the hunting, not just the killing. In other words, it's about the total experience, the sport itself and the challenge involved. Bowhunting, done right, is a justifiable and honorable pursuit. Done for the wrong reasons, simply chalking up kills and seeking personal glory, it's taking away rather than giving back to a principled way of life that has to be experienced to be understood. Some more... and thanks to Dale, Rick, Gene and everyone who helped setup this great shoot.  Guess god willing that I am around next year I will get over there on Thursday and help setup.

Ren, the skip shot alone was crazy enough but you choose to nock TWO arrows! Great photo!!!

About the kilt: That guy has worn one at every shoot I've seen him at, and shame on you for looking up one's skirt! Seriously, I think a kilt-only trad shoot ought to be considered. I'd get me one for such an occasion.

Rick and family (wife Debby and daughter Jami) deserve most of the credit for the outcome of the shoot. Yes, some of us others pitched in and helped when and where we could, but Rick's family pulled out all the stops to make sure that everyone had a good time.

Shawn is a great guy, even in the kilt!  He didn't wear one to our Feb shoot up here at Whidbey... might have been the cold?
