Ren, isn't where you five were standing on that flat rock about where Tony killed the rattlesnake?
I'd just like to remind everybody that it's about the hunting, not just the killing. In other words, it's about the total experience, the sport itself and the challenge involved. Bowhunting, done right, is a justifiable and honorable pursuit. Done for the wrong reasons, simply chalking up kills and seeking personal glory, it's taking away rather than giving back to a principled way of life that has to be experienced to be understood. Rick and family (wife Debby and daughter Jami) deserve most of the credit for the outcome of the shoot. Yes, some of us others pitched in and helped when and where we could, but Rick's family pulled out all the stops to make sure that everyone had a good time.

Put me down to help out next year,  I'll be there early!

Carp... Yep that would be the Splinter Kat,  its a twin (almost) to the Sapphire Hawk from Ernie.  Kirk builds some nice bows.....

Yep, it is, and believe me I was looking everywhere we walked.  Kept trying to get Don to lead the way.... LOL

The widow came today. It has taken my mind off my custom bow build, well at least for a couple minutes.

This widow was the one I was waiting for! What a great bow! Hell of a nice guy from trag gang sold it to me and gave me a great price! The bow new was just shy of 1400.00 :yike: Does not even have a mark on it! The wife might yell at me when I climb into bed with it tonight. After a few days it will get moved to the bow rack. I have a feeling the custom will have a permanent place on my pillow with me :chuckle:

Had a great time at the shoot last weekend, and even managed to come home with a few arrows still intact.  Already looking forward to next year.

I've seen some good string slaps, but I think I was a bit harsh on my right arm this weekend.  :):)

Fred, I saw your arm on Sunday at the raffle/awards and thought you'd been bit by a Brown Recluse! Ouch.

I am pleased to have finally met you, and I'll see you down the trail.
