to quiet on the message board
« on: April 15, 2012, 07:24:31 AM »
I'm relying on everyone in the fields to fill me in. How's the weather, are the birds henned up, what do the turkey numbers look like, is there low pressure because of the Sunday opener. Help me out people. I'm stuck in Seattle until next week. Good luck, and knock em down

Lord , we've been here on days before
and often times you've let me score
Now do you think that on this day
you could send a gobbler down my way?
And , if not , just let me say--
you've given me another day
to hunt the bird I love the best.
I don't mind sharing with the rest

I didn't see as many people in our area, not as many birds as 3 or more years ago, cover ground to find them if you are hunting public land. Snow has been melting fast, it's not hard to get into the mid elevations now.

I think farther south in the county has more birds from what I have seen. Another nice day, birds have really been breaking up and moving out the last week. I heard a bird yesterday when scouting that was clear on top of a pretty good sized hill, didn't expect to hear one that high yet, but he was right on top gobbling his fool head off. :chuckle:

birds were talking for us, it should be a good year
If you can't play with the big dogs then STAY on the porch.
