Ya, I have to wait at least a couple weekends. Be in TX for work the next two weekends. Then I still have to get a turkey for the lady and pop's before I'm good to go.

Good luck all - may the turkeys be many and the ticks few.

Hope to start the evening of the 17th...but most likely it will be the 18th as day one. Got good friends coming over the following 2 weekends...really looking forward to it  First few days with a bow and then switching to guns.

Good luck and be careful out there- turkey hunting can be hazardous.  Go find a big one! :)

I'll be out there Sunday morning, bow in hand! I've been seeing lots of birds around my area. Now I just need to shoot straight.  :chuckle:

I can't wait!!! Been anticipating this day for a couple months. Goal #1 is to help my wife and son bag their first ever birds, then I will take my turn. Let's slap em in the head with lead.  :chuckle:

I am flipping out at this point ...Iwant to be there but I know I should wait at least  1 week ... I hate hunting flocked up gobblers... not that I can not kill them but I know I can kill them just alittle easier once the hens start nesting ....Last year I went at the end of the season and only seen a few hens around ...gobblers were alone by 11am and the game was on ... and seriously deadly  :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle: what do I do ?

I can't make it opening day either.  I'll be going with my son April for 4 days later in April.  Hopefully he will be able to get his first with a bow this year.  Bring on the ticks!
