I have conflicting feelings about having a womens thread vs getting rid of it. I see where many topics could be on one of the other boards, but it's been nice to check in from time to time to see if my fellow huntresses have come across new gear that worked for them, and not have to dig through General Discussion to find it. that being said, I can't help but feel insulted that women and youth have been lumped together. My instant (although very sarcastic) reaction was kinda like.. "Whoa, you gonna tell me I belong in the kitchen next?" I have been on Hunt-Wa long enough to know that was not the intent, but that's kind of the way it comes across. These are two very different and unique categories of hunters and topics, and personally think that both are worthy of having their own boards. I guess when it comes down to it I'd rather see the both boards completely nuked than to see them combined like they aren't valid or important enough to have their own. Just my opinion...

My wife likes the women's board, it's a good place for her to get opinions on gear and issues that relate specifically to women without weeding through all the "guy stuff". It's also a good resource for me (

), okay not like that, but it helps me temper my attitude and ideas about hunting with what will work for her and help both of us enjoy the sport.
The forum actually seems to be running very well (knock on wood) since I reduced the number of categories. That's the only factor I can identify, becuase I ahve increased the number of boards with the recent additions.
The members have spoken, the poll shows most members who voted in favor of separating the boards like they used to be.
SO THAT IS WHAT WE WILL DO...
Please give me a little time to get that done, I'm working on a few projects at the moment, but will get to it soon.
Thank you very much!!
FWIW, I think it's really cool to have people running a board who listen to and care about the opinions of the members. I used to be on other boards where this kind of thing was absent.... man, what a difference!
