Sounds like a good time brother. My son just doesn't like to fish that much. I'm really bummed about that. Even when we are catching fish, he still wants to go play in the water on the beach. Is that Lake Stevens you're talking about for perch? Lake Cassidy has a ton of them also. Next time you want to go for flounder I'll tell you where I've caught some good ones.
