Hey, that is a good looking group of birds..and hunters!

I am curious if you have any blinds that have wood pellet fired stoves to keep you warm in?

hhhmmmmm, I hadn't thought about doing that...  :chuckle:

Hunting is still going pretty well. Ray sacked up another 9 1/4 longbeard and a jake yesterday.

I had another gobbler called in to about 60 yards I could all but see him, suddenly I hear, "Come-on boy, stay close!" I turn and look and about 40 yards behind me a guy is walking by talking to his dog.

And that was the end to that, what are the odds of that happening... :bash:

I'm gonna give that bird another try today.

You guys need to get over here to the NE as soon as you can if you are planning on coming again. More birds are talking again but I expect it to end sooner than most years because it started earlier than most years.

Yesterday I got that bird to talk again but then he shut up, I will have to wait for another day when he is hotter. Right now I am out of hunters, Ray got his hunter another bird so he was tagged out and they decided to leave early at noon yesterday to get home in good time. I actually had to work around the place here in the afternoon.  :bash:

We offer guided or inexpensive unguided hunts, I will take nearly anything I can use on trade toward a hunt, give it some thought and let me know.

Most hunting days we have been getting to bed at 10ish and up at 3ish. Last night I slept from shortly after dark until 7:30 this morning, boy did that feel good.

But I wished I was back out hunting, I may have to go buy myself a tag so I can go hunting again. :chuckle:

Had a couple unguided hunters (father and son) hunt over the weekend, I looked out back when they arrived and there were birds so Hunter (the son) put a stalk on and came up successful. He hadn't even had a chance to get changed into hunting clothes.  :chuckle:

I sent them to areas where they got into multiple birds they tried calling, but they were unable to close the deal on any others. Congrats Hunter...

Several hens including a bearded hen with about a 7" beard and the big gobbler were out back this morning. He is still gobbling and strutting...

Sorry I missed the strutting with the camera, but he is still easy to pick out!

Birds were very active this morning and gobbling up a storm, heard 4 different birds gobbling. Here's a trailcam photo from yesterday, I had to crop it heavily to see the two longbeards so the photo quality suffered.
