Need Pictures please ( Chinook spawning salmon)
« on: April 11, 2012, 08:37:28 PM »
I have a 58 pound chinook spawning salmon to do, I have a few pictures of actual fish but they are not very good, I have searched all over tryin to find some. If anyone has some of fish they have caught if you could post them here or PM it would be greatly appreciated. Or a link to some on line.

Thanks
Joe

How spawned?  Dirty or Red or falling apart spawned?   Funny on some of those that are really dark red, the meat is absoultely perfect off the Copper River, but here the dark reds ones are boots......

that last one about that color on back, sides a little fleshier on the bottom. I cannot believe all the fish I have caught I never took pictures of.

Thanks Mike for them.

That will look sweet when done. I thought I saw pictures of one that Rick Krane did on Taxidermy.net, might have been a tutorial?? I could be wrong.

I hear you on that, mainly got pictures when someone else took them.  Wasn't till a few years ago I started carrying a camera.

Not the best pic. Raining extremely hard. Fall Chinook from last Oct. Pretty dark

Here's some fish I caught one day at our trip up to Vernita for some kings last Sept.  Had the dad cleaning them  :).  What exactly are you needing these pics for?  And Cohoho that's how those kings are up around the Tri-Cities for the kings, some are red but still have good meat on them.

hunt_fish

I am doing a reproduction king salmon mount for a customer. I need pictures as reference so I can make sure I am getting the right tones and values in it.
