 The gate was open today H2O, but I think the Timber Guy's were in there. I checked my key in both locks and it didn't work. Oh well, I'm going to go out tomorrow some where, just haven't made up my mind yet. Probably where I saw the sow and cub tracks the other day. Maybe I'll just shoot the cub and make me a hat or a pillow out of the hide. Could probably cook the whole thing in my rotisserie!

Oh...there have been a few. Acuatlly....a few guys on the forum have tagged a cub intentionally. I think one guy came across one bawling over his dead momma and he popped him. I don't remember the other reason but both guys said that the circumstances were that if they didn't take the cub out it could have been a slow and painfull death for it. They both had a full mount done. One was a mount that they kept on the floor of the living room...kind of curled up and sleeping. The other was mounted to be able to lay across the shelf like it was just lounging. Both were upstanding reasons to tag a smaller bear and both made the best of it.

I like the little curled up bear mount better than my old idea of a pillow case if you ever got stuck in that situation.

Yea, I stole your Idea bro. But what are hunting buddies for? I would do the lounging on a shelf mount for sure. I would drive the cat and dog nut's!

Yes they were cutting in there. I about got mowed over by a truck full of logs on my way up the road. I went to the next gate up and hiked around for a while in there. Saw some pretty good area, just nothing that told me they were out and about yet. Went to a "high damage area" on the way back and same deal, nada.

When I saw the open gate, I knew I had to be careful, those guy's don't slow down for anyone or anything!

My girlfriend and I took nice long hikes yesterday, put on about 6 miles or so. Never saw a thing. We did see one small log that had been chewed up in the last day or two but it was kind of small. Maybe a skunk or something. Can't get out today, but I plan on hunting all day tomorrow. Good luck everyone.

Last sunday at 12:30 in the afternoon we had a small bear about 100 lbs or so walking around chomping on grass and pawing up some downed log debris so they are walking around!

   I would expect at least a couple bears will get killed this weekend.
