Woo Hoo my first thread to hit 10 pages!   :IBCOOL: Thanks peeps.  :chuckle: Here are a couple of pics from yesterday. The handsome young man at the Lake is me, and the other is a peel I found on the way. A word of advice to others out there to make sure you know the boundaries of the hunt. After I finished this hunt I went over my maps to look for different areas and noticed that the lake is outside the boundaries. The start of the trail is ok to hunt, but somewhere along the way it goes outside. I have no Idea where the line in the sand is, but I wont go to the lake again.
Does anyone have any idea how this heat is going to affect movement? Will they go nocturnal? Will they stick to the thick growth along creak beds? That's where I'm seeing most of the sign anyway, but I think on cool rainy days they will move more in daylight. Good luck to the other tag holders and I will be out again on Monday.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!

You shaved off the butt-tickler already!
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

Holy cow Tyler, you were up at 1:14 and ready to hit it! Or were you just going to bed?  :chuckle: I take it that ypou got your truck fixed and ready to go. I will be out tomorrow for a while before work. I drop my son off at school at 8;00 then hunt till noon.  I will also be out on Wed at the same times. Let me know if you want to meet up.

Definately keep at it Ripper ...because the longer you wait the better chance you have of getting one that has been rubbing and not good for making a rug ....I would be trying my hardest right now and try catching those first few that are coming out  :twocents:  good luck

No but it's close to there. There is a trail that you have to hike, can't drive there.

Is it behind the same gate?   There is a lake behind that gate you can walk into.
