I can't wait to get off work today. I have a dark nasty overgrown hole I'm going to sit in till something comes in for me to shoot. Yuk that sounds kinda nasty!  :chuckle: Let me reword that. I know of a spot that is over grown, dark and next to a creek. It is kinda hard to get into without making a lot of noise. I saw some new peels in there the other day, so today I want to sneak in there after work and sit till dark with the hopes that the tree peeler will show himself so I can shoot him. Yes that sounds a lot better.
D-Rock, I'm shooting 139g Hornady SST's.
Woodman, nice vid. I hope to see something like that in person tonight.  That looks similar to the spot I'm going to.

Yes it is Machias, my first spring bear. I shot one in the fall 2 years ago. So far that's my only one. It's a different feeling walking up on a dead bear than a deer. I had a little bit more anxiety. I can't wait to feel that again.

Good luck in the deep dark nasty. I'll be getting gear together tonight and early to bed. Looking forward to getting out and covering some ground. Let me know if there are any last minute supplies you need after your hunt today.

Really good, after I bought them someone told me that they had accuracy problems with them. I find them to be nail drivers.

OK H2O. I'll get a hold of you tonight either to pack one out or with a list of demands for tomorrow.

Ridder, I hope you don't mind. I have a question for calling black bear on wet side.
Advise on whether or not a white tail fawn in distress would work. I have been using raccoon in distress,
And called in bobcat both times I tried it. I am walking monro unit soon. And going to start calling before dark. Any impute? Thanks.
