whats difficult about moose hunting
« on: August 01, 2008, 09:26:46 AM »
Whats difficult is you can have a 50 inch moose right in front of you and you can't hardly even see him.  I had one Booner within 15 yards of me three times but could never get a shot.  This guy came in after Idabooner had shot his bull.  He is standing about where Idabooner was and I was standing about where the moose was

All I saw was a bush in the first photo.

You can just barely see one of his antlers in the first pic. Were you archery hunting them bone?

This was the third bull I had called in for Idabooner on his hunt from the same spot.  I called a little one in and then his big one and then this guy came in right after he had shot.

Awesome pic's. I have only hunted them in a less brushy atmosphere, we were hunting the river beds on the Salcha outside Fairbanks. Lot's easier to see them then where that was shot.

One of the hardest parts about moose hunting is getting drawn :chuckle: :twocents:
