Elk really liked my camera
« on: April 13, 2012, 08:32:23 PM »
Had this camera out for almost a 2 week soak. First time I've had a camera in this location and it turned out to be a pretty good spot. The elk were really curious about the camera, they'd walk right up to it and look at and stand there for several minutes. Two days this past week they bedded down right in front of the camera. I had just under 500 pictures. This is a Primos Truth Cam 46 set to a 5 shot burst and a 5 second delay. I didn't put out any kind of bait whatsoever, just set up on a well used elk trail.

Nice.. looks like that cow wants to get to know you better....  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Nice pics Bob. Looks like you put some good smelly jelly on the camera.

I didn't have any kind of scent on the camera or anywhere else, other than the human scent that obviously had to be there. The elk even left some hair on the camera for me.

I'm pretty happy with it so far. I've only had it since January and haven't used it much yet. But I can't say I have any complaints. I notice it does switch back and forth between using the flash and not using the flash, during the day. So I'll get 5 color pictures, and the next 5 black and white, then 5 color, and so on. That seems to be on overcast days when there's just not much light and it can't decide if it needs the flash or not. The color pictures sometimes tend to be a little too dark when this happens. But the black and white ones are great. So overall I think it's a great camera, especially for only $100.
