Good Looking Stump!
« on: April 14, 2012, 07:33:37 PM »
I went scouting for a bit today because the weather was amazing. I just love to be out in the woods. I was walking a new area and came around a corner and saw this sitting a few yards off the trail and you're damn straight I did a triple take! I couldn't resist taking a picture because I laughed so hard.

looks like a deer to me???  That is pretty funny stuff right there.  I wonder how many people have stalked it, just to find out it is a stump  :chuckle: :chuckle:  I would put a trail cam on that thing.

I didn't get any other pics of it. It was pretty small so if I had to compare it too an actual deer I would say yearling. It was in an area covered in grass right above a swamp. I was hiking all day looking for a bear so in an effort to be super quiet I didn't want to venture off the cleared path so used the zoom instead, which is probably why it's so grainy. Next time im down there I'll try to get a head on angle or something... as long as it hasn't ran away. haha

if you go back you should find a couple branches that  look like antlers and  stick'em on there, make sure its a three point :)
