Back packers camp shoe recommendations wanted.

I'm looking for something light, soled, water proof, slip on, maybe something to wear in the sleeping bag but that I wouldn't hesitate to step out of the tent with for those night ventures, or while cooking/sitting by the fire. Something that is comfortable when I've built camp and want to take my hiking boots off.  Did I mention, light weight?

Crocs!  As light as they come and comfortable walking around camp.  Cheap too.

there is a new compay called Zemgear out that is kind of interesting and would make a good camp shoe.

I have a pair of knock off crock from walmart that i like to use better than my crocks. My crocks have little vent holes in the side down near the bottom of the foot. my knock offs are solid from all around the toe so i don't get any dampness on my socks... hate that.    Very comfortable...

Not a cover for the shoes/boots. Just something super light, warm, water proof would be nice, doesn't need to have a sole, but that'd be fine too, that I can slip on my feet with/without sox for in the tent/bag or sitting next to my fire/cook stove while eating after a long hike. I mean.. Ounces light. After a long hike I do like to pull the pad/liner out of my boots and let things air in the sun if possible. So I'd like some sort of foot covering that I can walk around camp in.

I like the Keen slip ons. One time my feet got soaked and had to hike out in my Keens because I got blisters from my feet being wet.

Hmmm....sounds like some Goretex socks might be in order? Or those Zem gear shoes, although they aren't waterproof. They are funky looking, but you can totally walk around in camp with them on. For warmth, a nice light pair of wool socks would be perfect inside. The shoes are insanely light, they were originally designed for beach volleyball players who were complaining of their feet burning on the hot sand. They pack into nothing and would pack very flat in the bottom of a pack. I just recently met with their sales rep and they had samples to try on. They were a little strange at first, but everyone on my team instantly thought this would be a great camp shoe when backpacking. I'll most likely pick a pair up for that purpose

The next best thing for weight saving would be crocs, but they are bulky and mostly would have to hang from your pack.

You could wade through a stream in them no problem I think, since rocks tent to be round and smooth.. I wouldn't hike a trail in them though.
