use your cell phone, make sure and put it on air plain mode tho. most cell phones can record noise, this way you can record and use a "natural noise" such as a bugle or cow mew for an alarm instead of a human made noise.

I have an old pre-paid cell phone that I cancelled when I moved.  I keep it charged just for this when I go out.  My rommie also found me an alarm clock that runs on 1 AA that is only 2x2x.75  pretty damn loud too.

I use the alarm on the rhino. Set it so I turn it off and it turns on when the alarm goes off.

I use my watch, but I like the idea of using a phone with an animal sound....just don't use a cougar scream.   :bdid: You might make a mess in the sleeping bag.

I was using just a beeper type one years ago in coastal OR and had a bull bugle back at my alarm, several times...   :chuckle:  Be sure if you use your cell and are out of range, to set it on airplane mode as mentioned or it will wipe the battery out looking for a signal.

Drink a bunch of water before bed, then set the alarm on your watch.  One of them is certain to wake you up.

The natural sound on the phone is good but just remember that electronic calls are illegal.  ;)
Also, do the airplane mode and watch for the battery level.  Don't want to miss the morning hunt.

I used a cheapo alarm from wally/target/freddy for years.  It worked well for me.  Plenty loud with the option of radio, but i don't trust the radio though.

I spent a season, 2 weeks at a time, in a snow fort while working at Stevens Pass. I bought the biggest wind up alarm clock I could and stuck it in the freezer overnight before moving up there.  I discovered my watch would freeze  to a stop if left out of the bag on previous winter trips and some battery clocks wouldn't handle the cold to well.
