« on: April 22, 2012, 07:34:17 PM »
im going to get serious about bow hunting this year(hanging up the old hammy down bow) and get a decent bow, my price range is  300-500 but the lower end of that would be preferable. looking for suggestions of bows to check out and do my research on so anything you have had experience with or know is good let me no, thanks.

Martins have some pretty low prices for some decent bows.  I think Pantera might be in that range, but throw in some arrows, sight, rest and it will be about $800.

I really liked the feel and quietness of the Alpine Archery Fireball, just didn't like the look of the limb pockets.  I think it was a kit with a price around $550 at Riverside Archery in Mount Vernon.  I might be off on the price though.  Don't limit yourself too much based on cost, if you can help it.  A bow that you want to replace in two or three years is not a bargain at a low price.   :twocents:

I just looked at there 2012 line up. I have only shot 2 of them in that price range. Out of there 6 adult bows, 5 are under 500.00.

The 2 I shot were the mauler and legion. I liked both bows and for 499.99 I really liked shooting the mauler. The legion will be about 100.00 less.

I figured they might be a sponsor, just teasing you a bit, hence the chuckle face.

WA Hunter 14, just get out and shoot as many as you can, hopefully one will feel good and pick you.  And, hopefully it will be in your price range.   :chuckle:
