What's Larry's last name? And I'm not sure if you are asking for me to take your Czech friend on a cougar hunt but we're not allowed to, sorry. Tribal members aren't allowed to take non-members with them hunting. Where are you from and what is your Czech friends name? Does he have hounds?

Wasn't sure if you were allowed to take people out on the Reservation for hunts.

Saltz. My Mom's neighbor. has hounds. I think his health has slowed him down. He's quite a character.

Haha oh yeah I met him one time. Lives in Keller? Man he was a character. I've been meaning to stop by there and talk to him again. A buddy of mine and me were at the Keller store and he was there, saw we had hounds and talked our ears off. Good guy! Does he live in the Tri-Cities now? He said he lived there in Keller? I know which street he is talking about too. If you have his # Id like to talk to him sometime, he wanted a good bear dog he kept telling us, haha.

I don't have his number. He's my Mom's neighbor in Kennewick. I know he has a place at Keller. His dogs are pretty cool even if they do bark a lot. He keeps an eye on my Mom and Mom's place when she's gone. He's got lots of stories about running his cat dogs for Weyerhauser. He has some real nice riding mules too.

Sounds good let me know if you get Saltz #, had a little luck today, pulled the dogs off the first race because the pups got split from the main dogs and the main dogs were going into no mands land and I didn't feel like going in after em. Found one later on, would of kept after it but I got a 4hr math test to take today:

Had a productive day today, ended up treeing 5 bears, I'm worn out and the dogs are probably even more wore out! Was really impressed with all the pups and all the dogs. Not going to post all the pictures because there is a lot but I'll try to post some of the better ones:

Can't keep up with the bears and pics! Caught 2 more today. First one Moose struck first and I turned him and a son of his that I'm hunting down. Moose made a big ol loop like he does trying to wind where he smelt it from and the son out of him, Radar, does the same thing just like his dad. He's damn near a clone of Moose except louder! Well Radar takes off opening lining something out and I start to think either A he got it started or B he found some trash to run, haha. Well Moose hears him but doesn't pay him much attention and goes towards that general area where Radar blew up and he starts to get lined out and starts opening. Well I was trying to listen to make sure I heard Moose open before I turned loose, not wanting to trust a 8-9 month old pup too much yet, and before I could I could hear what sounded like they were either bayed up or treed, I turned the truck around and drove back up the road the way I came because they were making their way over there and they crossed that road and I dumped the box. It was a good decent race and all the dogs made it. Another pup I just got yesterday is a littermate to Radar out of Moose and her name is Patches, she is a little speed demon. She is built just like a trigg and was keeping pace neck for neck with Moose and Savage in the front, even though most were not too far behind she made it look easy on her first bear ever. She has been to a few lion trees but hasn't got treeing yet but I got her treeing on this bear some today. When I get to the tree I see Radar's mouth is just all bloodied up and bleeding pretty damn good. Figured out what happened is he got slapped in the mouth by that bear when I heard em bayed up, didn't seem to phase him because he proclaimed his hatred for that bear when he was treeing. He is one of the best tree dogs I've seen for his age and just in general. The next bear got an ok strike, was a little windy today so it was hard to tell where it was coming from. I turned dog Savage first to see if he could figure it out, well he wasn't quite getting it going yet so I turned Moose down. Well not long after that they both go into the creek bottom and I can hear Savage start to bark and he gets to taking off, then Moose a few seconds after and I could see him behind Savage, well it was a short race, all the pups got turned loose and it wasn't long after they got it treed. Good start to Mother's Day, not time to spend the rest of the day with my wife (mother-to-be) and my mom later this evening. Happy Mother's Day to everyone's moms out there!
