I've always liked a load of plated fives, a compromise between the hit of fours and the number of pellets in a five.

Honestly, whatever I have laying around.  I have a grab bag of shells from many years of turkey hunting.

The best turkey load was 00buck..That would put them suckers down   Now if I were to hunt turkeys, I wouldn't use anything less then #4 in 3" mag.

I've dropped a lot of turkeys with my old 870 Wingmaster, 2 3/4" full choke barrel....  No reason to shoot past 35 yards anyways.    ;)

Whatever shoots best or good enough out of your gun.  Typically #4, #5, or #6 shot.

#5's have been my go to load. I have run a lot of shells threw different guns. They all seem to vary on what they like. Buy a few boxes and see what shoots the best in your gun.

This year my load is a 100g ultimate steel broadhead :chuckle:

I have killed gobblers with 4's, 5's & 6's. All bang -flop's. I have used a regular full choke and a extra full turkey, each worked fine. I have used 3" 2oz loads in Remington and Federal. I dont have a favorite, pick one, It should work.

I'm getting good results to 40+ yards with the 3" mag Remington #5 Nitro Mag turkey loads. The important thing, whatever load you choose, you should shoot it on a target and verify that your pattern is good to go. You gotta do what you gotta do to prevent wounding birds.

You will always get ten different answers from ten different people.  That being said I always shoot 3 1/2 inch 5's backed up by 4's just in case.  Perfect example this year, first shot 30 yards, kill shot 50 plus s%@t happens.
