Hello everyone me and my brothers have been planing for all of us to get together and do some sturgeon fishing and we are looking for a good guide to use so basically my question is does anyone have someone they would recommend? I have found a couple via google but would like some real feedback.

Not sure where you want to leave from but you could try checking out Big Fish guide service out of Hood River Oregon or Rusty's Guide service out of White Salmon Washington. Both would do oversize trips if you called and talked to them.

I have been out with Steve of Duke's guide service a couple times, hes a stand up guy.

I believe there would be anywhere from 2-6 of us, where we head out from isnt that big of a deal but preferably somwhere close. What is the best time of year also? i forgot to ask that

We fished with Eric Lindy a few years ago and it was great.

charles with northwest sturgeon adventures thats who i used last year and he was a great guide. had a blast he did all the work, and was very informative about why and what he was doing, and he has a very well put together web site that gives you pictures, video, let you see the boat, what kind of gear he uses, and his rates!

If you are going to go sturgeon fishing, than you have to go with Paul at Great NW Rivers Guide Service. I have been lots of times and have always got fish. He is dialed in with this fishery, and he has been on TV as a pro guide a few times. Call him, trust me you won't regret it. Call Paul at 360-823-3525

or go with someone who has a boat, it's not hard to catch big ones.

I know alot of guys didn't get along with Paul when he was on here, but he knows how to catch fish.

Where are you planning on fishing there is a lot of different areas to chase these monsters! That really helps narrow down which guides to use!

no recommendationss on who to use but I would stay away from gimmieagocharters o..r whatever it is called. we had a horrible trip with john.s it wasn't the lack of fish(that's fishing) it was his attitude that was the issue. I leave a tip everywhere i go even if one is not deserved and he didn't get one. just saying

Wow! That surprises me. Ive known John a lot of years.Used to hunt together.Run around together in school. Ive seen him come highly recomended as a guide also. Its a shame you had such a bad trip with him. Sorry to hear that.

I prefer the Idaho fish they look prettier than the Columbia river fish!

MtnMuley Just watch the river prediction flow they are fairly accurate! With all this warm weather we are having the rivers are brown now but they should be good come June when the Dino fishing is the best! Not to mention some killer bass fishing as well!

That's true, but my weekends are limited to get over there. I agree with the smallie though......home of the true bronzeback. Blackest fish I've ever seen.
