Leopard Cur Pups
« on: December 13, 2025, 10:26:07 AM »
Took my two 6 month old Leopard Cur pups out for a run yesterday.  Trying out the new knee.  I was able to walk a mile for the first time in a VERY long time.  I will start these guys in the spring on bear. I will get them on some coon before bear season.

Yes, they open good.  They generally start later than a lot of hounds.  I don't really start them much before 9 to 10 months old.  They mature a little slower.

It really does.   Can't wait to get the other knee replaced and healing.

If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Two of the best cat dogs i had the pleasure to hunt with where cur dogs. They where brother and sister and silent on track fair tree dogs and female was growly at tree. But when they left the road a cat was going to climb or get caught on the ground. They where not pack dogs and
many guys would not own them but they sure where hide dogs.
