I like the base that it's on.  Nice buck

I think the base looks good gave me an idea for mine that will fit good in the room i have with log furniture thanks.  the buck is nice would like to see the skull a little whiter hard to tell if it is just the picture or if it is just that dull and dingy looking either way nice work and thanks for the idea i might have to experiment.

where did you get that buck? He has the EXACT same set of horns as my last buck. I took mine in Lincoln County.

if you do another one later you might try doing parallel 45 angles on the log so you can see more of it. would also give almost a neck look to it. but looks great! ohh and if you have a propane torch handy you could do a little burning on the edges to give it more colors and design or stain to bring out the grain in the wood.
they call me the bloodhound cause i can track a wounded animal in the rain for 2 days when all it has is a splinter.. sniff sniff awooo

looks good, I would second the stain or torch.

Another thing that might look cool is to leave the bark on.  I have one that was done by a German Taxidermist and the Bark is still on the backing.  It looks real cool.  I will see if I can get a photo of it loaded a little later.
