Moose
« on: April 29, 2012, 10:49:22 AM »
The snow finally melted and I could finally get back into the area where there were a few bulls wintering. It didn't take long before I struck gold and then shortly after I found another about 70 yards from the other. No luck finding the other sides . Guess i'll have to get back out and look some more.

I actually found the first shed right under this tree if you look close you can seepart of it.

This guy was all skin and bones.

The varmint nibbled the antlers in about the same spot.  The other sides have to be close.  Cool finds.

Great finds. I saw 18 rubs today identical to the ones you found and no head bones, just ticks :yike:

It snowed last night and this morning but I decided to go back up again. I found a small patch little pines that had been rubbed on pretty hard so I went from rub to rub kicking the snow and I managed to uncover one. I think It might be the other side to one of the ones I found earlier this week.I also saw a bull that was starting to grow some knubs and a cow with a white collar on.

What do you guys think? set or not? They were found probably 100 yards apart.

Cool pic of the live bull with buttons. Jumped one on Sunday but could not get the camera out quick enough.

As far as a match, I'm thinking not which is good for you because there are more antler for you to find. Good luck.

When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.
