Worthy Cause, Rocky Spencer Memorial

For those that didn't know him, Rocky did more for Washington wildlife in his lifetime that most of us will ever hope to.

Agree!!

I had the pleasure of working with Rocky years ago on an elk collaring project near Mt. Baker.  He was a humble man with a great personality and ture passion for Washington's wildlife.  He is greatly missed.  His life was taken in a tragic helicopter capture acccident.

He was a heck of a nice guy, I talked to him on a few occasions, some on business and some just because. Enough to know his heart was 100% into it. Last time I saw him was less that a year before his accident, he had trapped a cougar he darted and let us get within a foot of it, pretty cool. Cat was out like a light, but pretty intimidating, 150#'s, even half starved.
