Old Rifles worth?
« on: August 02, 2008, 06:27:02 PM »
My brother gave me 2 old rifles he says where paid to him for some work performed. I hunt and have guns, he, well he does not hunt and I taught I might want them. Like to get a ball park figure on their worth. I have no real need for them.

Winchester model 1892, 25-20 WCF says patented Coct. 14, 1884,
has a Octagon barrel.

Winchester model 94 25-35, says patented Feb.22,27 on the sight.
Has a medal plate on the end of the stock.

Both appear to be in good condition.

Also have a Eastern Arms Company 94a 16 gauge Single shotgun
that belonged to my father. Wonder about is worth. I started hunting with this, has a very small hammer to pull back when shooting.

I myself grew up with an Eastern arms single shot twenty guage. Your right about the hammer being awefully small.

In just about any condition those Winchesters are big money guns, highly collectable.  Check GunBroker.com for what they are selling for.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

There is also a gun store up in PA, that is pretty good on old guns and will help you list them on the web.  I think he charges a little but, from what I hear not much.

Yes, please do and let us know what they price at because I'm just curious enough to check back and too lazy enough to not check myself.  :P

Hard to say if they are origional without seeing them or the exact configuration but even a piece of crap 1892 goes for over a grand and by the caliber the 94 would also.
