Wifes first long beard
«
on:

Friday and Saturday was tough hunting with 40 mile per hour winds in Central Wa. Sunday morning we slept in a lil bit and got up to the canyons we wanted to hunt around 9am. I decided to hit a call and got 2 gobbles under 100 yards away. We set up and watched the birds cross the road to our left then back doored us so Lisa got spun around and I called the birds into 40 yards and she knocked down her first tom. He was bout 18 pounds with a 9 1/4 inch beard and no spurs unfortunately. Hope I got the pic to post if not I will try again tomorrow.

A couple of beauties there! Congrats on a fun successful hunt!

I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

Nice tom! When you say Central WA, can you ballpark? I live in Utah, but own some land by Wacounda and would like to turkey hunt next spring up there.

We were hunting around Ellensburg. Thanks for all the well wishes to her this is her 4th spring season, she took a jake her first season so she's been waiting a lil while to tag another bird.
