I shoot them, and really like them. As stated above, that's pretty much dead on. I think they fly better in real life hunting conditions (wind/rain), but they can definetely don't have the "shrug off" factor that a vane does if it hits a branch. But, my goal is to not hit a branch.

Every arrow I have seen with a fob or vane gets deflected pretty bad when it hits a limb, edge of target, etc.
