My bunks in my 21' enclosed are basically the same design but came off of a tugboat. very comfortable and there is four sets of bunk beds. also a rack in the back that's basically a catch all and toolbox made of sheet metal. 2x4s with coat hooks along the top walls are nice for tie down storage and other assorted clothing.

There was a good article in a 2011 issue of Fur-Fish-Game magazine about a guy that bought a cargo trailer expressly with converting it into an RV type hunting trailer, how to do it, pictures, etc. Wish I had saved the magazine, but I didn't.

The bunks detach and fold out of the way when needed.
I have a tent trailer ,but this upgrade to a solid box is great (no canvas to mess with) Thanks for the ideas. My wheels are churning now.
How would a small wood stove work in one of these, do you think?

At one point I was looking at possibly going the cargo trailer with modifications but think I have decided to pony up for a true rv toy hauler. I still think it is great that guys get creative and put the time in to convert cargo trailers. When I was looking at the possibility I always thought something like the one in the attached link would be cool. It has a lot of references photos sources of info, etc.

Should have known better than to ask you guys this question..
Now my conversion is going to really put a dent in the bill fold..
I like the entertainment/power supply center.
The awning is on its way.
The E-trac is on its way.
I will post some pictures as the build gets underway.
I pick up the trailer today at 11:00.
Then lets get this party started. I think maybe a little long gun vault might be in order..
Thanks guys for the ideas and the links.
Rock on lets roll.

My main concern is making sure there is a way to get out easily in case of fire--in BOTH ENDS. Windows, even high ones are a nice touch too. Makes it less like a dungeon, and one window could serve as a fire escape. RVs are pretty, but Cargo Trailers are built a lot stronger, and the work and expense to convert one for hunting/fishing/toy hauling/camping is worth it, IMHO.

well here are the first couple of pictures.
It has a cargo door, A man door and a window on each side.
It came with a Mr Buddy heater (Like New) and the top has had Linex bed liner professonal applied (It looks great and insures a water tight seal)
All in all the little " Love Shack" is going to be nice.
I will post more pictures as the Mods get under way.

Whitey,
When I bought my utility trailer, I also bought one of these strong, plastic lockable storage containers that attach onto the front of the trailer, behind where your tongue jack is. It wasn't very expensive, about $90 I think, but I was amazed at how much it can hold. Gives you a ton more storage room.

The other cool thing a about a cargo trailer is you save soem $$$ by not having to pay the extra RV add ons for your tag.

That would be awesome. Maybe a diamond plated box for a little bling bling. But I was also thing about putting My propane tank and 12 volt battery for my inverter up there I will have to see how much real estate I have up there.
Great Ideas.

Great looking trailer that should work out it is nice it already has windows.
Looks like I might be picking up a bigger one tonight if it checks out and will be doing a lot of customizing on it since it will be our camper for the summer and my hunting shack in the fall. Looks like I am going to have to sell my old one.
Whitey where did you get the awning? That and windows are going to be one of my first purchases..
